The name Olivewood comes from 1 Kings 6, where olive wood was used in the entrance to the inner sanctuary of Solomon's temple. To pass through olive wood was to enter into the dwelling place of God. That image continues to inspire us today, reminding us that ordinary things, when approached with purpose & care, can serve a meaningful purpose.

The temple Solomon built was marked by remarkable intentionality. Every room, material, carving, & detail was carefully considered & crafted with excellence. That commitment to thoughtful craftsmanship inspires the way we approach our work today.
